Far Fishing: a growing little boat draws you onward

Far Fishing

Reviews enjoy the sense of growth as upgrades move the voyage forward. Beyond fishing itself, the appeal is making progress and wanting to tackle the next challenge.

One player enjoyed each area having a different look and twist, rather than feeling like the same place with faster fish. They did find the fog hard to see.

What makes it fun

  1. Keep fish in the circle

Keep a fish inside your boat’s circle to make progress toward catching it. If a fast fish slips out, that progress drops, so you have to stay with it.

  2. Upgrade the boat and carry skills forward

Sell fish to improve your boat’s movement speed, and spend points from shiny fish on abilities that carry over to the next captain. Those upgrades help you keep up with fish that once escaped.

  3. Each area changes the chase

Fish hide behind reefs, while whirlpools and rocks obstruct your boat elsewhere. Each area changes how you steer to keep fish in the circle.
