Editorial Policy
The rules Predy Media follows for creating articles, selecting games, handling figures, translating, updating, and correcting content.
How Articles Are Made
Articles introduce games based on public information from Steam and user reviews.
AI is used to prepare drafts, figures are checked against their sources, and a person reviews the content.
Figures in articles are automatically checked against the source data before publication.
How Games Are Selected
We define criteria for each article and apply them consistently when selecting games. The criteria appear at the beginning of the article.
Our standard criteria are a positive review rate of at least 90%, at least 500 reviews, the Indie tag, a tag for the relevant genre among the game's top five tags, and a requirement that the game not be free.
From the games that meet the criteria, we select those with the most reviews and list them by positive review rate. We do not rank them.
We exclude games whose main gameplay does not match the article title, VR-only games, games with strong sexual content, and versions no longer sold, even if they meet the criteria.
If fewer than seven games meet the criteria, we do not relax the criteria or write the article.
How Reviews Are Handled
For reviewer feedback, we read 100 reviews from the past year across all languages in Steam’s “Most Helpful” sort order and summarize recurring themes.
We do not show review counts on the page. We include a point only if at least three reviews mention it.
We do not present minority opinions as the overall view. We do not include long quotations from the original reviews.
Prices and Figures
We do not convert prices using exchange rates. Pages in each language show prices from the Steam stores in Japan, the United States, China, and Korea, respectively.
Review scores, prices, and supported languages can change, so each article states the date of its data.
We do not present Steam review scores as our own star ratings.
Translation
Content is finalized in Japanese, then translated into English, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.
The games, ordering, figures, and review samples are the same across all 4 languages. Game names use the display names from Steam in each language.
Updates and Corrections
Figures are reviewed every month, and games are reselected every 3 months.
When an error is found, it is corrected promptly and recorded in the change history.
You can submit corrections through the contact form linked on the About page.
